Roasted Nori Seaweed Sheets (Premium)
Roasted Nori Seaweed Sheets (Premium)
The ZALG team is working to help people discover the incredible richness of algae in cooking.
We went to South Korea to find the best Nori sheets.
Nori (Porphyra) belongs to the family of red marine algae. Mainly prepared in the form of roasted sheets, it has been cultivated since the 17th century in Asia.
Once harvested at sea, Nori is cut and pressed into sheets before being dried and then grilled. This is where it takes on this dark color. In addition to its taste qualities, Nori is rich in protein and very low in calories.
The uses
The leaves can be rolled or thinly sliced to add a new texture to your dishes.
For precise handling and cutting, remember to moisten your fingers and the blade of your knife.
To get a crispier texture, you can grill the leaves for a few seconds. They will then take on a green color.
